I did it!

My Boo would have been so proud!
A week and a half ago, I went to driving school.
I learned all there is to know and I took my permit test.
And I PASSED!!!
So today, I went to the DMV (or MVD, whatever) and I stood in line and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
And... you get the drift.
Then my name was called.
I walked up to the counter and gave the lady my form.
Now when I took the test, I thought I would have enough time to go down to the social security office and change my name, but I never did. I know, I know, what the heck took me so long? Well that is another story for another day.
Anyway, when I took the class, I signed my name with Hill.
So today, the lady asked me why I had signed my name with Hill if I hadn't changed my name legally yet and that it might cause problems to get my permit. She went to go talk to her manager while I...waited... and when she came back, she said I would need my marriage certificate, which I promptly responded with "Ok, here it is" as I pulled it out of my purse. I just happened to have it since last Wednesday when I had been trying to get to the social security office. After getting over her initial shock, she handed me all my paperwork and told me where to go to pick it up. The man at that counter asked me if I wanted to keep my old picture, I said "YES!!!" I look good in that picture, no conceit. For realsies. Why wouldn't I keep that one? Two minutes later, I had it in my hot little hands.
Oh, but it was a sweet victory.
Now on to the hard stuff.
Like actually driving.
With other cars on the street.
Oh, I can't wait.
(But actually, I can)

That is awesome! Congratulations! I think the purpose of the DMV is to make you waste your entire day waiting in line!

For some reason your new drivers permit, makes me think of an old Irish jig, or Scottish! Or?

Anyway the words have been changed some what to fit your situtation

"Now all the neighbors dogs and cats will never more be seen."

"They will all be smashed to gooey spots, with Liz Hill's driving machine"!!!

Whew-Hew!!
I started driving when I was 18. I had to drive alone, with the radio off so that I could concentrate.
You'll do great!
